Well, glad to see this thing finally wants to work! Whoever designed this is a complete maroon, but I already ranted about that.
Question for all'a ya! Don't suppose these creatures comes with a translator, do they? Havin' a hard time attempting to understand mine, and I was wonderin' if anyone had a solution for that this side of Albuquerque.
...And if there's a place to get some cigars and snacks--it'd definitely be a perk right now!

[Once that feeds over with, Peacock turns the PokeConnect off and goes back to what she was doing before; exploring with a giant metal bird! This place was certainly interesting; looked like it had more to it than all of the labs put together, and that in itself could be an achievement! Avery just followed along to make sure she wasn't going to do anything too stupid...
So, Peacock will be exploring the entire HQ of her own accord, exploring every place she's allowed in! ...And probably a few that she isn't allowed in with Avery squawking behind her, let's be honest. She'd rather not be caught per se, but the more the merrier right?]

on 2012-05-23 09:50 pm (UTC)Yeah, as long as they're close and I try. I learned how to understand their calls too, but all the animals - Pokémon - here have different calls so I have to learn them all over again.
I guess it's useful? I never thought of it any differently than talking to Grandpa, except that they can't always understand complicated things I try to tell them. They tell me when humans come into the forest, or if an animal is eating so much it's being a problem, or just how their lives are. The trees tell interesting stories, too, if I'm patient and stay for a while. I haven't been able to talk to any of the trees here for some reason though.
[Be envious until the point where you realize that since he can talk to plants and animals, that means he's eating his friends for every meal.]

on 2012-05-24 12:49 am (UTC)I lived in the forest in the mountains with Grandpa until he died two seasonal cycles ago. Now its just me and the animals. [He doesn't sound as broken up about his grandpa's death as you might expect. He misses him, obviously, but he's not showing much of it to her.]
