Third Antic :: [Action in Route 34/Video]

[You're traveling through a dimension.

A dimension of not only sight--which at this moment is blinding white light--and sound--which was previously of many 'karp karp karp karp' and the sound of fainting Pokemon--but of mind.

A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination.

That's a signpost up ahead: your next stop, the Evolution Zone!

...No, but really. Ladies and gentlemen of Johto, and those who happen to be on Route 34, you may or may not have been just in time to experience the wonder that a certain avian girl has felt when she watches her useless flopping fish evolve into a giant serpent of unbridled awesome. Peacock is just standing there; for once in her life, she's actually left speechless. Such awe...such amazingness!

...If you happen to come after that, Peacock's testing her new friend out on the wildlife of Route 34. It's...not going to end well for the Pokemon on the Route.]

[However, this is where the video comes in! It starts right in the middle of a very ferocious Gyarados attacking whatever she can in sight. The view shifts to Peacock, who looks incredibly pleased with these results.]

You know, I gotta say! For a useless little fish, what she turns into is pretty damn useful! Kinda amazin' in her own way; she might only have a face a mother could love, but she certainly makes all the work worthwhile!

[The camera goes back to ol' Betty--who appears to be having only minimal trouble with the Mareep in front of her--Peacock seems to sigh with a happy tone.]

So, so worthwhile...ah, I could get used to this if all of these Pokemon got powerful like that!

[There's a bit of smoke that comes in front of the screen--Peacock's had a cigar out for a bit, but she's going back to take a puff out of it. Before the feed ends, what looks like a Poke Ball is thrown at the currently fainted Mareep. Either way, there is going to be no rest for the wicked tonight...]

[Guess who's at Route 34 as well for training?

Him and his Phanpy just stares at the Gyarados. Well, the Phanpy just hides behind Atsuro because of the obvious type disadvantage the Pokemon have against Gyarados.

Wow, um, poor wild Pokemon.
]

Your Gyarados's tough.

Haaa... I think without a doubt, the jump from Magikarp to Gyarados is the most startling, alarming and downright scary evolution in this entire place.
combat_butler: (He was unconcious when I got here!)

[personal profile] combat_butler 2012-07-08 08:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Mm, it definitely is! There some big jumps in evolution, but that one is just... ... well, for a lack of a more appropriate word, gigantic.

--ah, really? I'm glad you found it alright. It certainly looks like you've been enjoying them! I only know one other big smoker here, so I doubt all that many people know about shops like that...

Some little fish turned into THAT?!

[Harley's expression is one of both mild confusion and growing apprehension. Because if the fish here can do this, then clearly it is only a matter of time until they wreak vengeance on the land-dwellers.]

Definitely! Gyarados are almost always very powerful Pokemon. [As long you get around the usual type disadvantages, but that's common sense.] But who's Avery?

[Atsuro, that Gyarados is scary. ;A;]

[...hello there, junior, he sees you have something incredibly terrifying that has ensured that he is not seeking you out in person

nope

nope nope nope

unlimited nope works tbh]

Ah...got a Magikarp to evolve, did you? I assume that will serve you...quite well.

[LOOK. AT. THE TEETH ON IT.]

[Oh, oh Peacock! You got it to evolve!]

So you did it! You got her to evolve!

[The amount of \o/ here...]

Congrats! Isn't she so cool? I've got one too; they're amazing! You're going to really enjoy having one, let me tell you! They're so cool!

Oh, where are you now? C'mon, let's train together for a bit!

Beside making sure they obey you? You gotta make sure no one hit them with electric moves!

[If he remembers correctly, Gyarados would take a lot of damages from electric moves.

Atsuro gives the Skarmory an admiring look, and then a wave. Wow, looks so cool and strong!
]

'lo, Avery!
explosivecombat: (And what have we here?)

[personal profile] explosivecombat 2012-07-10 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
Rather fond of the powerful ones, I take it.

[LET'S

CHANGE

THE SUBJECT

BECAUSE OH MY GOD THAT THING IS GIVING HIM THE WIG, MADAM]

Any types you've taken a particular liking to?

Aren't they great? I'll be there in a bit, alright?

[And true to his word, Ryuunosuke will show up a few minutes later... riding his Steelix, of course. Because it's awesome and huge and badass. Also he likes to make an entrance when he can~]

Hey, Peacock!

[Oh wait, hang on. Let him down, Steelix! Once he's finally on the ground, Ryuunosuke waves again.]

Oh man, she looks cool! Good job on raising her!

I'll see what I can do for you, then; after all, there would hardly be any sense to sending you on missions unprepared.

If you know your electric Pokemon, it'd be easy to recall...Betty, right? So you only have to worry about other Pokemon that can learn electric moves from TMs.

[Have a waving snout, Avery! Hi!] Hi, I'm Nalagiri!
used_trick: (oh dear god)

Re: [video] Someday I won't fail at timely responses

[personal profile] used_trick 2012-07-16 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
They might! All th' Pokeys an' critters here are real smart. They figure out how t'do that on their own, I wouldn't put it past 'em!

I don't remember all of them, but generally speaking, normal types can learn electric moves. And beside! I try to have my team beat the other trainer's before they can pull off super effective moves!

[Nalagiri looks up at Avery.] It's nice to meet you too. Is your trainer nice?
used_trick: (skeptical)

I dunno. All it'd take is one REALLY SMART fish rabble-rousin' the rest of 'em.
