Yeah, as long as they're close and I try. I learned how to understand their calls too, but all the animals - Pokémon - here have different calls so I have to learn them all over again.

I guess it's useful? I never thought of it any differently than talking to Grandpa, except that they can't always understand complicated things I try to tell them. They tell me when humans come into the forest, or if an animal is eating so much it's being a problem, or just how their lives are. The trees tell interesting stories, too, if I'm patient and stay for a while. I haven't been able to talk to any of the trees here for some reason though.

[Be envious until the point where you realize that since he can talk to plants and animals, that means he's eating his friends for every meal.]
